Testimony of ARSHIA
When I was young I did not believe in any religion. My sister was a member in a Church, a church which supported native born Iranians who had converted from Muslim to Christianity. In 2000 when I was 22 my sister insisted I go to church with her I did not understand what was going on, so I started to misbehave and my sister told me to leave. Then she returned with some of her fellow church members and they spoke with me to try to make me understand what the service was about, but I did not want to agree with them and I was very rude.
Two days later to leave my sister and get back at her, I stole her bible. For some reason I decided to read the bible and I became very interested in what I was reading. I kept reading and when I was almost to the end , I heard a voice: 1 Here is my servant whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations. 2 He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets. 3 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. In faithfulness he will bring forth justice. 4 He will not falter or be discouraged till he establishes justice on earth. In his law the islands will put their hope (Isaiah 42: 1-4). But, I did not pay attention. A few moments later I heard another voice: 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. 21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my father on his throne (Revelation 3:20-21). I told my sister what had happened and she suggested I call her pastor. He told me to visit the next Friday. When we met I explained what I had done and he said: congratulations, looks like Jesus wants you.
I kept studying the bible from the Old Testament to Revelations which took me two months. During this time I attended church every Friday. After two months I began to believe in Jesus, but not that he was a God. It took me 3 more years of learning and studying to believe. I asked the father to baptize me but he said it would create too many problems in Iran. Instead he performed a sanctified on me and told me it was the same as being baptized, but not exactly the same. He told me that I could be baptized at another time, and have a full baptize at this time I would like to ask you to allow me to be baptized. I do believe that Jesus is God, died for my sin, my sins were buried with him, and he now lives in me because of the resurrection and I asked him in to my heart.
