Testimony of BITA

The God who accepted me in the name of Christ. I thank and praise Him for all that I have and don’t have is from Him. The God through whom I found peace in my life. Praise be to the God who loved us so much that He sent us His Son, so whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I was born and raised in Iran in a not so religious Moslem family. Ever since I entered school and was taught religion I often found myself a sinner slave who would go to hell at the judgment day because I never recite Moslem prayers or covered my head or so on. This was why I hated my religion, for it was full of war and hatred even amongst its prophets.

I want to testify now how I came to believe in Christ. I married to a psychiatrist doctor . Our engagement time was the best time of my life and I found myself to be the happiest girl on the earth. After we married things changed, I saw the other side of my husband that I never discovered before. I was so distressed that I decided to leave but my husband would not consent to divorce saying that he loved me. I took him to court for his harassments but got no result. One day I was talking to one of my Christian friends and telling her about my situation and that I cannot go on like this anymore. My friend told me if you want to get an answer to your prayers then call upon the name of Christ and ask Him to help you. We prayed together and she gave me a small New Testament bible. From that day on, I kept reading the bible in my quiet time asking God to deliver me from all this and let my husband release me and agree with the divorce. One morning with great disbelief my husband asked me if I really want to end our marriage. I told him that I don’t love him anymore and want to end this marriage. I could not believe his answer, when he finally consent to divorce me. My married life was very short lived and I got divorced and left Iran and came to Canada. With help of friends I came to know Mohabat church and Pastor Sam. He prayed for me and I confessed my faith in Christ before the congregation and surrendered my life to Him. Now I know that he is always with me and never leave me, nothing is more important to me than Him. Now I want to be baptised in Him to do as He commanded. I now want to live for Him and do Hid will. Glory to the name of Christ. Amen
