Testimony of Siamak

My name is Siamak and I was born in Iran into a Moslem family who were not at all strict about the religion. As a result I never really thought or looked into my religion, but I always believed that there is a God.

As I grew older I determined to find out who the true God is, and the fact that I didn’t follow any religion seriously didn’t stop me from looking. It was a difficult task, and sometimes I wanted to give up. I studied different religions and their beliefs yet none was satisfying to my thirsty soul. Finally I met someone who suggested that I go to church which I did and participated in the prayer group. After a while I felt such peace and security that made me realize that I found what I was looking for.

Now I have found the one true God and not only that but I am learning about Christ more and more as I listen to Pastor Sam’s sermons and bible studies every week. I am now eager and ready to be baptized knowing that by doing so, I declare that I no longer belong to this world but to Christ and that my name will be found in the book of life. I also want to affirm that the past is gone and what I am now is a new creature in Christ, I live for Him and become like Him every day.

Roman 10:9-11 says this:

“If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. For it is by our faith that we are put right with God; it is by our confession that we are saved. The scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.”   Amen.
